Recently, my husband and I got to spend a wonderful weekend in New Hampshire. My daughter’s best friend and college roommate got married and we were lucky enough to be invited.
It was just last May that we spent a fun weekend in New Hampshire with friends, on Lake Winnipesaukee, enjoying the lake, and Memorial Day weekend. I loved it so much I made a blog post about it. Therefore, I was delighted that we got to go back.
It was just a little bit past peek for autumn colors, but it was still so beautiful and colorful. There is something about seeing rolling mountains in the distance that I love, and certainly find incredibly soothing.
The wedding was a blast. And because we spent a weekend there, it gave us enough time to plan a terrific hike and go see some pretty covered bridges.

As with many covered bridges, it is only wide enough for one lane of traffic; opposing traffic must wait until the bridge has cleared.
Can you see the sign on the top? It says, “Five dollars fine for riding or driving on this bridge faster than a walk. ” 🙂
