Meet beautiful Jenna. I recently met up with this Class of 2021, Old Saybrook, CT high school senior for her senior photos at Elizabeth State Park, in West Hartford, CT.
After Jenna and her mom booked her senior session, we discussed different locations to use as a backdrop. I always send all my high school seniors my Location Guide of my favorite spots for senior photos in the area. However, I had never been to Elizabeth State Park. I had seen many photos and knew it was a popular location for sessions. So, when I found out it was tulip week, I suggested Jenna have her senior photos taken here.
Well, to say it was beautiful here is an understatement. This whole park is just gorgeous, and there is an elegant and lush feel to it. Elizabeth State Park is also known for its formal rose gardens, laid out with arches and paths that lead to a central gazebo. There were also some hidden paths leading to more gardens, and a greenhouse. I actually got there an hour before our session, just to get photos of the tulips and grounds for myself!
Senior Photos at Elizabeth State Park
The only thing more beautiful than the park, was Jenna. This CT high school senior stunner was a dream to photograph. She posed easily and was up for anything. We started Jenna’s photo session in the tulip gardens, then moved over to the rose gardens, arches and gazebo. There had been the threat of rain all day, so I brought a cute, plastic umbrella as a prop, for some fun photos.
Jenna wore a wonderful array of outfit selections, ranging from casual jeans, to pretty dresses. At the end of her session, Jenna’s mom jumped in for a few portraits. They will always be happy to have those photos!
We had such a fun session. All high school senior photography sessions should be fun, and reflect the senior’s unique personality. This is what I strive to capture for each of my seniors.
