Earlier this month, I thought I had the most wonderful and special Chaffinch Island family photography session. My beautiful friend and co-worker of many years, finally had her first grandchild. Her and her parents live out of state, so when they were here for a visit, we naturally had to get photos of the whole gang!
We had a beautiful, sunny afternoon for our Chaffinch Island family photography session. Chaffinch Island is a popular location for photos of all kinds, not just families. And it’s easy to see why. With it’s park-like setting and views of the water and marsh, this location offers a unique and pretty beach backdrop.
This nearly one year old baby was utterly precious and full of happy, bubbly personality. She smiled and giggled so easily. Watching new parents dote on their new baby is always my privilege. When they sang her a special little song with her name in it, my heart just about melted!
I was so happy for my friend, watching how happy she was with her new adorable little grandchild. The photos I captured of her with the baby are some of my favorite from the session.
I have really grown to love extended family photo sessions. Not only are they are a terrific way of capturing an entire family, but also because I love seeing the dynamics of the different members of the family. It’s so fun!
