We live on the CT shoreline, so it makes sense that a lot of high school seniors want their senior session at the beach. And trust me, I love doing senior sessions at the beach. But sometimes I also love capturing senior photos downtown for an urban senior session!

Here are 3 Reasons to Have an Urban Senior Session

1) Variety!

Yes, let’s get some photos at the beach, but let’s get some photos downtown too! Having photos taken at different locations that are nearby each other will give you a nice variety of images from which to choose. All the beaches I like to use for sessions are very near a downtown area, so it would be easy to do combine a beach and urban setting for your senior session.

2) An urban setting can also offer a wider range of options for your shoot.

With so many different streets, buildings, and landmarks, the possibilities are endless! Urban sessions provide a unique and visually appealing backdrop for senior photos. The combination of urban architecture, graffiti, and modern textures provides an edgy look that is sure to stand out.

3) It’s fun!

Downtown and urban photo shoots are fun and something different than your typical park and beach photos. Urban settings provide plenty of opportunities for creative poses and props – giving you the freedom to express yourself in a way that traditional settings can’t match.

Don’t be nervous to try something different! We can still go to the beach, but let’s add some urban photos too.
