It’s no secret that photographing high school seniors has become my favorite genre to photograph. There is just something special about high school seniors. They are awesome, fun, creative and inspiring. The sessions themselves are always so much fun. If you are a high school senior reading this (or your mom!) then take a look at the 3 goals I have for your senior session.
Goal #1
To Learn what your interests are.
When you book a senior session with me, I will send you a short questionnaire. I request the senior fill this out, but I’ve also had parents do it! I ask questions such as do you have any siblings, and if you have any plans after graduation. I also ask what do you like to do in your spare time, and if you have hobbies or jobs. I like to know if you play any sports, or do theater, dance or music. I also want to know what kind of images you want for your session.
Of course, THIS IS OPTIONAL. Seniors can fill in only what they want to, or nothing at all! But the more I know the more I can connect with you, and make it a great session.
Goal #2
To listen to you before, after and during your session.
During your entire session, I will be listening to you to find out what you want to do, and not do, during our time together. I have lots of ideas for posing and where to go, and I have found that a lot of seniors are up anything! But every senior has a certain level of comfort and I won’t ever make you do anything you don’t want to. Don’t want to walk in the water at the end of your beach session? That is completely fine! Don’t feel comfortable with a pose I suggest? Then we will find something else to do. My goal is to connect with you and make your session what you want it to be. On the flip side, if you have ideas for poses or locations, I am all over it!
Goal #3
To show your personality, and most importantly…
MAKE YOU LOOK GOOD.
This is probably my top goal and probably why you came to see me. I promise to make you look good! Before your session, I’ll provide wardrobe tips, we’ll discuss location options, and we’ll tailor the session just for you. When you get to your session I’ll look at the outfits you bring, and will tell you what will look good for where we are. I will pose you using flattering angles and set you up in that good light that I love and am constantly looking for. We will also have fun doing it! I promise.
