Late last June, I met up with this beautiful family of four for a photography session in Old Saybrook, CT. Due to some rainy weather, we had to reschedule a couple of times, but it was so worth the wait!
Since this family keeps a boat at the local marina in town, we decided this would make a perfect, and meaningful location for their family photos. I’ve photographed here before and the marina always makes a great backdrop for beautiful photography sessions. Besides the docks leading to the boats, there is a gazebo, fences and a beautiful open grassy area overlooking the water.
I really can’t say enough good things about this family. They were up for anything, and so much fun. This family had two adorable sisters, and I will always have a special place in my heart for sisters close in age.
A Beautiful Night for a Beautiful Family Photography Session
The light was insanely gorgeous as the sun started to set, and towards the end of our session, we were treated to the most amazing full moon, slowly rising through pink and purple clouds. It was June’s strawberry super-moon, and we were in the right place at the right time! The images I captured of this family with this beautiful moon-rise behind them, are some of my favorite I’ve ever taken. Be sure to scroll all the way down to see it.
