About CT Shoreline Photographer, Linda Sobolewski

My interests are simple: coffee, workouts, and being outdoors surrounded by beautiful scenery. There’s nothing like getting up early to photograph the sun rising over the CT shoreline. I enjoy taking high school senior portraits, lifestyle newborn photography, and capturing family gatherings in beautiful settings. My goal as a family photographer in Connecticut is to provide easy and comfortable portrait sessions as well as timeless, lasting images.

May, 2020 – Personal Project {Connecticut Family Photographer}

Personal Project

As we approach the end of May, 2020 it’s time to share my images for this month’s personal project. May was another crazy month with the state of our world, wasn’t it? Despite this, I continued to keep busy with my photo project, The Front Steps Project. However, I was sure to make time for my own personal photos too.

For this personal project, called Project 52, I post one image a week to Instagram. Every month is a different theme.

The theme for April, 2020, was “perspective.

Perspective in photography is defined as “the sense of depth or spacial relationship between objects in a photo, along with their dimensions with respect to what the viewer of the image sees”. To sum it up, perspective basically means how the viewer sees the photo. You can view a photo from several different points of view – from above, from below, from behind, up close, far away, and down a line. These are all different forms of perspective. I had fun with this one, and it made me think of different ways to frame a photo.

Of course, I always try and pick a favorite. My daughter accompanied me to a local apple orchard one pretty spring day. Those couple of photos are special to me because it was such a nice time with my daughter in a beautiful spring setting. I also really love the perspective of looking down a line, at the row of bikes on a sunny day at the beach.

I’d love to know which one is your favorite! Hope you enjoy taking a look, and thanks so much for stopping by. 🙂
