About CT Shoreline Photographer, Linda Sobolewski

My interests are simple: coffee, workouts, and being outdoors surrounded by beautiful scenery. There’s nothing like getting up early to photograph the sun rising over the CT shoreline. I enjoy taking high school senior portraits, lifestyle newborn photography, and capturing family gatherings in beautiful settings. My goal as a family photographer in Connecticut is to provide easy and comfortable portrait sessions as well as timeless, lasting images.

February, 2020 – Personal Project {Connecticut Shoreline Photographer}

Personal Project

I can’t believe we are fast approaching the end of February, 2020. Winter hasn’t been too bad this year (so far), even with that extra day this month. I have completed my second month for my Personal Project. As I’ve said and blogged about several times, personal projects are important for any creative person to do, for a multitude of reasons. What I love most about them, is they are fun to do. I feel excited to be taking pictures! 🙂

Project 52, as the name implies, take place over 52 weeks. Yep, that’s a full year. Every month has a different theme, with images posted weekly on Instagram. The theme for the month of January was fittingly enough, lowlight. If you didn’t see those photos, I’d love for you to take a peek at them here.

The theme for February, 2020 Project 52, was “Details.”

At first I thought this would be an easier one to do, but it was harder than I thought. The idea is to accentuate details of scene that might otherwise not get noticed. As a result, I had to really slow down, and look around me for the little things.

Here are my images for February, 2020. As usual, I love them all. Do you have a snowman figure collection too? The cupcakes are from Georgetown Cupcake in Boston (yum!). But I love flowers, and I love how my image with the roses looks a bit dreamy. Winter and Valentine’s Day happened in February, and these photos reflect this. The last image was taken at Harvey’s Beach during low tide.

I’d love to know which one is your favorite! Hope you enjoy taking a look and thanks so much for stopping by. 🙂
