Last month I met up with this wonderful group for an extended family session. It was a beautiful June evening for a family photo session, and to commemorate the 70th birthday of a beautiful, and much loved grandmother.
This extended family session was extra special for me because Edie, the grandmother (who, by the way, does NOT look 70 at all!) had attended my wedding many years ago. So did one of her daughters, who had reached out to me to photograph the grandchildren with her mom. They were all in town and getting together the weekend of the Branford Festival.
We started out by taking a few photos at Edie’s lovely home and beautifully landscaped pool. Then, we headed over to the Blackstone Library in Branford. I love the architecture of this fabulous library and it’s huge sweeping steps. There was also a cute little piano there that the girls had some fun playing with.
Then we ventured over to the Branford Point, to enjoy the beach as the sun started to set. I really loved spending time with this family! It was so special to reconnect with these dear friends. ❤
I love extended family sessions in general, not only because they are a terrific way of capturing an entire family, but also because I love seeing the dynamics of siblings, cousins and grandkids…it’s so fun!
I hope you enjoy seeing a peek at my time with this great family. <3
