Last week I shared what I’ve been doing as my personal project for 2019. The name of it is, Project 52. As I’ve said and blogged about several times, personal projects are important for any creative person to do, for a multitude of reasons. And to be honest, what I love most about them, is they are fun to do. I feel excited to be taking pictures! 🙂
Project 52, as the name implies, take place over 52 weeks. Yep, that’s a full year. Every month has a different theme. Images are posted weekly on Instagram.
The theme for January was fittingly enough, “lowlight”. February’s theme was “storytelling”. If you didn’t see those photos, I’d love for you to take a peek at them here.
The month of March was for “portraits”. The beginning of March I was on vacation in sunny Florida. My husband kindly agreed to be my model for my first portrait. 🙂 I grabbed my daughter one morning before she left for work, for portrait #2. I am so happy to get this one of her. My friend and co-worker had a new baby boy in March. I was lucky enough to spend some time with her. I actually blogged about that love-filled visit and used images from my time there for portraits #3 and 4.
The theme for April was all about “connections”. Beautiful connections. I used another image from my time spent with my friend and her new baby. I had so many great images from that morning. The rest are showing the connections with my family and friends.
I plan on posting monthly summaries of my project. Thanks so much for taking a look. <3
