Some sessions are just special. Caitlin’s Harkness Park senior portraits were one of those. Everything felt easy and natural, and this Class of 2026 senior looked absolutely beautiful. The light was perfect and the whole session just came together.
Why Harkness Park Works So Well for Senior Portraits
Harkness Park is one of my favorite places to photograph seniors because it gives you variety without needing to drive all over the place. You’ve got open fields, gardens, stone paths, and the beach all in one session. It never feels repetitive, and it always photographs beautifully.
For Caitlin’s session, we kept it simple and let the park do what it does best. Soft light, open space, and that classic Connecticut shoreline feel.
A Relaxed Session That Felt Like Her
What I loved most about this session was Caitlin herself. She is truly one of the sweetest seniors I’ve ever photographed, beautiful on the inside and the outside. She was so easy to work with, completely herself, and never tried to be anything other than who she is. I felt genuinely honored to be her photographer, and that warmth and kindness came through in every image.
We kept things simple and relaxed and focused on natural movement and soft direction so nothing felt stiff. That is always my goal with Harkness Park senior portraits. I want seniors to feel comfortable and confident, and I want the portraits to look like them.
Timeless Style and the Prettiest Light
Caitlin’s outfits were simple and classic, which is always a win at Harkness. The neutral tones and soft fabrics looked perfect against the grasses and shoreline. As the sun got lower, the whole session turned warm and glowy, and the images started to feel extra dreamy.

Caitlin, you really are special. Thank you for trusting me with this season of your life. I loved photographing you, and I hope every time you look back at these portraits, you remember how beautiful, confident, and full of possibility you are. I hope you are having the best senior year! xo
