When Greyson’s mom reached out about booking his senior session, she mentioned they keep their family boat at a local marina—and I instantly loved the idea. I always encourage seniors to incorporate personal touches into their photos, and doing Connecticut senior photos with a boat made this session feel relaxed, meaningful, and so him.
A Laid-Back Senior Session by the Water
Greyson is one of those all-around great kids—funny, kind, respectful, and really easy to be around. He plays lacrosse and loves to fish, so the marina setting couldn’t have been more perfect. We started near the dock where the light was just right and moved around the boat, ropes, and wooden planks to make the most of the soft, golden hour light.
Outfits That Fit the Setting
He wore a mix of casual and classic outfits—a light button-down in soft pastels and a more relaxed t-shirt and baseball hat for some of the dockside shots. Both looks fit his personality and the backdrop beautifully, creating a nice variety without ever feeling overdone.
Why I Love Connecticut Senior Photos with Boat
Sessions like this are a great reminder that senior photos don’t need to be stiff or overly posed. Greyson was a total natural in front of the camera, and I always work to make sure senior guys feel comfortable and confident. The key is letting the location and personality lead the way.
