Meet Fiona, Class of 2025! This past summer, I had the pleasure of photographing Fiona’s senior photos in her hometown of Old Saybrook, CT. A few years ago, I captured her older sister’s senior portraits, so working with Fiona felt like reconnecting with old friends. It’s always a joy to see families return for such special milestones.
The Perfect Backdrops
We started at a local marina—a favorite location for its soft, golden light and classic coastal charm. Then, as the sun dipped toward the horizon, we headed to Fiona’s neighborhood beach. The sunset painted the sky in warm hues, creating a stunning backdrop for her photos.
Fiona’s Fabulous Outfits
Fiona nailed her wardrobe choices! She began with a colorful top that added vibrancy to the marina shots. At the beach, she wowed in a flowing blue dress, and her classic white dress was the perfect way to close out the session. Each outfit reflected her personality while adding variety to the gallery.
What I loved most about this session, though, was Fiona herself. She was fun, down-to-earth, and had a way of bringing lighthearted energy to every shot. Capturing her senior photos in Old Saybrook wasn’t just about the gorgeous locations or the perfect outfits—it was about highlighting her individuality. Sessions like this remind me why I love what I do so much.
