Welcoming a new baby into the family is a moment of pure magic. Capturing those first tender days is always an honor. This recent newborn session in Branford, CT was particularly special because I had photographed big brother’s newborn moments just a short time ago. Seeing this growing family again, now complete with their second little love, was such a joy.
A Session Filled with Sweet Moments
This brand-new baby boy was absolutely perfect for his first photoshoot. Wide-eyed and curious, he spent most of the session watching his big brother. Big brother was equally excited to be in front of the camera. At one point, as I was photographing baby snuggled on the bed, big brother proudly stood in front of me and said, “My turn!” My heart completely melted. These are the fleeting moments that make lifestyle newborn photography so meaningful—capturing the authentic love and connection between siblings and parents in the comfort of home.
The Comfort of an At-Home Newborn Session
One of the things I love most about newborn sessions in Branford, CT is the relaxed and natural feel of in-home photography. There’s no rush—plenty of time for feeding, rocking, and soaking in those early days. We spent a lot of time in baby’s nursery, a space thoughtfully decorated with love. Documenting moments like mama rocking her little one in the chair where she will spend countless hours feeding and soothing him is something I know will be cherished for years to come.
