Recently, I captured some winter maternity photos for the sweetest couple in Branford, CT. This beautiful mom-to-be reached out to book a newborn session. Since she was also interested in capturing maternity photos, she took advantage of my Petite Maternity Sessions at a reduced price when booked with a newborn session.

I’ve done maternity photography sessions in the spring, summer and fall, but this was my first time doing winter maternity photos in CT. Since everything is “dead” during the winter months, we needed to have the session in a location with a lot of “texture”. The spot we chose had beautiful grasses, a wooden bridge and even a red barn for some color. While we didn’t have any snow, we had the MOST gorgeous light. That is the thing about light during the winter months. It’s special and unique from any other time of year. It’s seems to be extra gorgeously golden because of it’s position in the sky.

It was something else photographing this couple. Seeing their love for each other through my lens, their natural connection and excitement for what was to come, was very special for me. I truly have the best job!

I can’t wait to be back there for their newborn session next month.
