My recent trip to Paris was so amazing and magical that I had to write a blog post to share some photos, and talk about some of the highlights.

My oldest daughter and I were both celebrating milestone birthdays this year, so together we decided to mark the occasion with a “30/60” trip to Paris. I celebrated my actual birthday while we were there, and my daughter surprised me with reservations to Girafe Paris restaurant situated at Trocadero facing the Eiffel Tower. As we sipped champagne on the terrace we had the most amazing views of a sparkling Eiffel Tower. It was a special and magical night I won’t ever forget!

We did and saw so much during our time in Paris. Some highlights include seeing the campus of the Louvre museum, touring the Musée d’Orsay, and enjoying a wonderful guided tour down the Seine River. I especially loved exploring the different neighborhoods in Paris including Montmartre, Le Marais and St. Germaine. We brought baguettes and cheese and spent time at the Luxembourg Garden and Place des Vosges. We shopped at the famous Champs-Élysées and many other french boutiques and shops. Our neighborhood patisserie was the place to go every morning for cafe olé and freshly baked croissants.

But my favorite part of Paris were all the wonderful cafés. I loved sitting shoulder to shoulder with other Parisians, sipping the BEST coffee I’ve ever had, and people-watching. And all of this was made even more special, because I shared it with my daughter.
