Meet Kate, Class of 2023! Early this past summer I had the honor to photograph Kate’s senior session at Elizabeth State Park in West Hartford, CT.

Kate was a recent high school graduate. She had photos taken for her yearbook, but wanted something more personal to reflect her personality. Growing up near Elizabeth Park in West Hartford, Kate visited there many times. So, it was meaningful and made sense to have her senior session at Elizabeth Park.

Of course, West Hartford is a bit of a drive for me. I’ve only been there a couple of times before, both times for senior sessions in the springtime, during their beautiful tulip week. I was very excited to visit here during the summer when their spectacular roses are in bloom! Elizabeth Park is known for its formal gardens laid out with arches and paths, leading to a central gazebo popular for weddings. It was really quite breathtaking to see all these gorgeous, lush roses in full bloom!

However, as beautiful as the rose gardens were, lovely Kate truly stole the show. Kate brought her own unique sense of style to her session, which I loved! Her vintage outfits were stunning and complimented her beautiful surroundings.

To Kate, if you are reading this I hope you know how much I enjoyed photographing you! You are an absolutely amazing young woman, and I am so glad you chose me to be your senior photographer. I wish you nothing but the best of luck at UConn next year and a wonderful future! xo
