I had some wonderful sessions this past fall, and this Madison family photo shoot was most definitely one of them!
This sweet family lives near the beach in Madison, and since the beach is such a big part of their lives, they wanted some photos here. However, beach photos can sometimes be tricky if done when there is bright overhead sun, and no shade. So we did the first half of their photo shoot at one of my favorite Madison locations, Bauer Park, before heading over to the beach as the sun was setting.
These three kiddos couldn’t have been any cuter, smiley and fun. After we got a few posed family photos to use for Christmas cards, we played games, had fun, and laughed a lot for some great candid shots. These are my favorites! After having fun at Bauer Park, we headed over to their local Madison beach, just as the sun was setting for some gorgeous family photos.

I adored the outfit choices this Madison family made for their photo shoot. Families who book a session with me receive my helpful What To Wear Guide. This mom followed my recommendations of selecting 2-3 complimentary colors, and adding a third color as an accent or pop. Using layers and accessories are a great way to get that color in. This beautiful family chose two neutrals – a mix of blues, white (and a little bit of khaki) and added pops of red to the mix.
