After completing a successful 2019, Project 52, I decided to do it again as my Personal Project for 2020. In this blog post, I discuss the reasons why personal projects are so important for creatives to do. Personal Projects improve my skills as a photographer, inspire me, and most importantly, are fun. I love the fact that there are monthly themes for this project. The images are posted once a week on Instagram, reflecting this theme.
Just like last year, the theme for January was fittingly enough, lowlight. Due to the fact that we spend more time indoors in the winter, that is where many of my images were taken. I did manage to get outside one day to capture a dramatic looking sunrise before a storm. But as always, my favorites are the ones with my family in them. Even the kitty cats are my family, and I love those images too.
Here are my images for the first month of my Personal Project, 2020. I’d love to know which one is your favorite! Hope you enjoy taking a look and thanks so much for stopping by. 🙂
