Labor Day weekend, I had the pleasure of photographing this wonderful group for extended family portraits at their home in beautiful Cornfield Point, in Old Saybrook, CT. It was a gorgeous summer evening at the beach. Certainly, the pretty grounds, turquoise waters, and accompanying sunset were the perfect backdrop for this happy and close-knit group.
Katie and Nick are brand new parents to their adorable 3 month old baby boy. I adored watching how nurturing, loving and attentive they both were to his every need. I took many pictures of them loving, talking and singing to him. As a result, we managed to get lots of adorable newborn smiles from him!
Katie’s brother had an equally precious 6 month old baby, full of smiles and squishy baby rolls. I have been taking lots of photos of cute babies lately and I certainly do love being around them all! Finally, Katie’s other brother had three of the most charming, tow-headed boys I’ve ever seen! Scroll down to see the images we got of them all walking on the beach together, as the sun was setting.
I loved capturing this sweet time for this family and hope they treasure these images for years to come. Capturing extended family portraits is special, not only because they are a terrific way of capturing an entire family but also because I love seeing the dynamics of the smaller groups too, siblings, grandkids, cousins…it’s so fun! I hope you enjoy a sneak peek at our special time together. <3
