My interests are simple: coffee, workouts, and being outdoors surrounded by beautiful scenery. There’s nothing like getting up early to photograph the sun rising over the CT shoreline. I enjoy taking high school senior portraits, lifestyle newborn photography, and capturing family gatherings in beautiful settings. My goal as a family photographer in Connecticut is to provide easy and comfortable portrait sessions as well as timeless, lasting images.

Family Session at Harkness Memorial Park {Waterford, CT Photographer}

Last fall, I did this sweet family photo session at Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford, CT. For some reason I never blogged about it, so today I am sharing some of the images I took here.

Harkness Memorial State Park is a really gorgeous place for a family (or any other!) photo shoot, and should always be considered as a possible location for a photo session. There is a beautiful 1900-era mansion to explore, with extensive gardens and hidden paths, as well as a beach. The mansion, gardens and beach all offer a great backdrop for photos. If you haven’t visited Harkness Memorial State Park before, you definitely should check it out!

I met this beautiful family of four on a delightful, sunny afternoon in early November. Connecticut weather is still very mild at that time of year and is often quite mild right into the month of December. This family of four were so sweet together and I loved documenting their smiles and laughter. This brother and sister were absolutely adorable, I mean, look at the blonde ringlets on this little girl! I adored her bright red coat; it belonged to her mom when she was a little girl, making it extra special. They had a lot of fun exploring the grounds, and I had fun chasing them around and capturing their excitement and laughter.
