I need to play a little bit of catch up here. A few months back I started my personal project for 2019, and I need to share it with you all!
Some of you may recall, last summer I did my first personal project called 100 Days of Summer. After I completed that, I did 42 Days of Magic, as my winter project. Doing personal projects are fun to do, and make me a better photographer. I blogged about all the reasons personal projects are so important to do here.
Project 52 is the name of my personal project for 2019. As the name implies, this one takes place over a 52 week period. (one year). Every month there is a different theme, and I post one image a week on Instagram, reflecting this theme.
I have to say that I do enjoy the themes. It’s nice to have a little bit of a challenge.
The theme for January was fittingly enough, “lowlight”. My favorite one is the first one below. As my Christmas present, my girls treated me to a wonderful and cozy cooking class at a place called The Weekend Kitchen. We made delicious soups, stews and homemake biscuits. I had such a fun time with my girls and won’t ever forget what a special night we had.
Wintertime sunrises can be really beautiful, and I love that they are a little bit later. I share an image of one of them below.
February’s theme was “storytelling”. I share an image from a brewery in New Hampshire my husband and I visited. I baked cupcakes for Valentine’s Day. Having both my girls home to enjoy them with me this year make them even better.
Please enjoy taking a peek at the rest of my images! Next week I’ll share March (portraits) and April’s (connection). Have a great week!
