100 Days of Summer is underway! I can’t believe that means that summer is already a quarter of the way over. It feels like is has barely begun!
Here is a compilation of Days 11-25 for my project 100 Days of Summer, with a brief explanation of each photo.
11/100 Soaking up the Sunshine – It seemed that it took FOREVER for the warm weather to get here. I took this photo when it was finally warm enough to lay around outside for the afternoon.
12/100 Yoga in the Lavender Field – My girls and myself ventured over to Lavender Pond Farm for an hour of yoga in the Lavender Field. Truly an amazing experience.
13/100 Father’s Day 2018 – We had just finished Father’s Day brunch at the Penny Lane Pub in downtown Old Saybrook, CT. The weather was beautiful and we sat down at a table outside on the sidewalk to eat. I also love how well this looks as a black and white. 🙂
14/100 – I love June – A gorgeous June sunset taken at Town Beach in Old Saybrook, CT. I love taking sunrise and sunset photos and any landscape image in general.
15/100 Heart & Soul – We were done with our Father’s day brunch and we walked past the dance studio in downtown Old Saybrook, CT that sometimes puts an old piano outside for anybody to play. My girls sat down and started playing Heart & Soul. Soon my husband and myself joined in too.
16/100 Home at Springtime. I am always looking out to our amazing views of the water. As I was walking back up to the house I was also amazed at how pretty my home is during the springtime with all the blooming flowers.
17/100 Lazy Summer Afternoons – I took the Sunday before it was the official first day of Summer. My daughter spent the afternoon relaxing on the hammock and I thought that this is what summer is all about.
18/100 Summer Solstice Sunrise – I took this image of the sunrise on the official first day of summer. It was early – 5:15!!! Summer sunrises are not as “eventful” as the other seasons because there are usually less clouds. But there is just something about the first day of summer that just makes me feel happy all over.
19/100 Late June sunset – I took this image after it had stormed so there were lots of clouds and colors! This sunset was amazing.
20/100 Summer Bike Rides – The area I live in is so great for easy bike rides. It’s mostly flat roads that wind in and around all the beach neighborhoods. Oh, how I love to take bike rides in the summertime!
21/100 Summer Garden – I was so delighted that my youngest daughter took it upon herself to plant a small garden by our backdoor. She grew up with me planting lots of annuals and a few tomato plants and now she has done the same. SO looking forward to plucking a tomato off the vine and eating it still warm from the sun!
22/100 Summer Storms – Amazing storm clouds!
23/100 Cotton Candy Skies – I took this one a few weeks ago when I was taking my landscape workshop at Click Photo School. It has rained all weekend long. Finally Sunday afternoon it had started to clear and oh my, what a sunset. The best sunsets/sunrises are after storms. Funny how that works isn’t it? Kind of how life works too….
24/100 Hot Yoga in the Lavender – The temperature was in the mid-80’s and the sun was very hot when I did yoga in the Lavender Field at Lavender Pond Farm. I still loved it but had to chuckle as it reminded me of the hot yoga I have done in the past.
25/100 Summer Paddle As I posted this I could not believe how fast the first 25 days of my project have gone by. Does that mean that summer is already a quarter over? How can that be? It feels like it has just started!
