There is a gorgeous place called Lavender Pond Farm in Killingworth, CT. I have seen other photographers post amazing shots from here. As summer is slowly winding down I want to share with you about a beautiful day I had with my youngest daughter back in July, at this aromatic field of lavender.
On a day that she was home we decided to make the quick drive over there. Wow, am I glad we did and can’t believe I had never been here before. Because not only was it beautiful with huge fields of lavender everywhere, but the SMELL!!!!! Very subtle, but always present. I want to go back there just so I can inhale the amazing and soothing scent.
I want to go back next summer and shoot other people there – families, children, seniors, but for now I will enjoy this special day I shared with my beautiful daughter. How I love this girl. <3
